WHO AM I?

I’m Darla Baltazar, a singer-songwriter, bedroom producer and content creator from Manila, Philippines. I love making music and painting them with lots of vocals. I also love making videos and sharing my insights. I finished a degree in Psychology from the University of the Philippines Diliman and originally aspired to be a clinical psychologist. That dream is not completely dead, but for now I’ve put it on pause and I’m just enjoying a season of creativity and growth. I also taught in preschool for 2 years and have developed a passion for teaching and encouraging since then. I have a special place in my heart for discipleship, which is also one of the main things in my life currently.

WHY CHRISTIAN MUSIC?

Musicians tend to make music about their own stories and things that mean a lot to them. The same is true for me. A huge part of my life is knowing God — and I mean knowing Him, like an actual Friend. Just like how people love to sing about their love stories, I love to sing about mine. And the greatest love I’ve ever known in my life is God (and though that might sound cheesy to some, I’m actually dead serious, but also incredibly joyful!) At the bottom of it all, to sing to Him is the cry of my heart. It cannot be helped.

WHAT IS MY GOAL?

I’m on a mission to spread a message of hope and encouragement to people. That’s the main thing I wanna do. Whether it’s by making music, making videos, teaching, writing, or sharing my knowledge and skills, I am here to serve and help people make their lives even just a tad better. I wanna live to see the people around me know God more, discover, and walk like the person they were made to be.
